Lyndhurst Lumber at 5402 Mayfield Road, Lyndhurst, Ohio.

I just picked up an 18 inch square piece of wood to be used as a base for a wedding cake I'm making. I ordered it last week and it was ready on time, and looked great EXCEPT..... when the guy handed it to me I noticed that there were little splinters, so I asked if he had any sandpaper. He looked at me with a faux conciliatory look on his face and said he didn't have any sandpaper. This is a place FULL of woodworking equipment with NO sandpaper??? POOR customer service!!!! No one in this place thought it might be a good thing to run a small piece of sandpaper along the edge to ensure their customer wouldn't get injured?? (When the waiter comes to your table with a hot plate they inform you so you don't burn yourself = great customer service.) To fix this problem, I took it out into their parking lot and "sanded" the edges by rubbing it on the cement parking lot. I'd go there again for the workmanship but NOT for the customer service!!!
